(On a closer look I can see that I don’t have any 4642324e folder at all, only 4642324c so that’s probably why it doesn’t work. If I copy so the Length(h) gets to the number 2000 and past and save it in a new file, it doesn’t work. I’m assuming I’m going to start copy from 00194F40, but not sure what “the next 0x2000 bytes” mean. Only problem for me is that I don’t really know to much about HEX editing. Copy the next 0x2000 bytes and save it as a new file named disksys.rom Go to the folder you extracted it to, then navigate through titles/00010001/4642324e/content/00000001.app Luckily I found a method on Reddit that explain how to extract the FDS BIOS as well. To play them I need a Famicom Disk System BIOS. This fork/version of vcromclaim seems to dump fds files for Lost Levels and Bio Miracle which I will assume working properly. It also extracted the arcade version of Space Harrier, but havn’t tested it in MAME yet. Maybe it’s a way of extracting that as well. Haven’t tested TG CD, but I’m guessing I need a BIOS for it to work. My favourite will always be version 1.First of all, Ufouria works great using this. My favourite will always be version 1.0 with all the tricks and glitches that are exploitable (especially using CF to reach places), someone should do a TAS with that :D After this every zipped rom I have tried to load has successfully. I then loaded one unzipped rom from USB, which loaded fine. Each one causing snes9x to display Bad Checksum and then crash. How much items are needed to complete this game after all? What is the minimum amount of e-tanks to survive in Lower Norfair, what about ammo. With a clean install of snes9x, I tried loading 4 or 5 zipped Roms. ![]() How much of the items can be skipped and still make Samus rush forward I have no idea if Phantoons HP or any values have been altered). Boss fights cannot be done very quickly because of the low resources (except maybe Phantoon 2-round with those 15 missile packs, maybe even 1-round but that requires quite much. Some refilling is mandatory and it takes some time as well. Maridia is very slow with power suit, even with all the arm pumping and 1-wall walljumping Damage boosting is reduced quite a lot, especially in the beginning. Though that very much depends on what kind of tricks can be done to speed up the whole thing (besides the luck manipulation) I think my gameplay was not that crappy that it justifies over a halved completion time for a TAS. That is the very same reason my guess would be something like 1:30 or so. This is not a TAS, so dont bother pointing out I missed this and that thing there. I tried to do some other tricks and glitches too to make it at least somewhat interesting to watch. (health alarm sound keeps going on even after collecting the e-tank and spacejumping with the regular spinjump animation) I got some fine glitching going on when I was collecting the "behind Crocomire" e-tank. I collected enough items for Draygon and I also snagged the Space Jump early, once again :) Crocomire and Spore Spawn were pretty fine. Kraid and Phantoon fights felt way too long and I guess they were. I hoped that I would get some fresh ideas for x-ray when going through all those rooms again collecting other items on the way, but I got nothing. Emulator used is snes9x 1.43 improvement7. this rom (Super Metroid (JU).smc) I have patched should be the same I have used before and it has worked despite being a bad checksum rom. I just hope it plays allright, since I have had some rom issues lately. This smv provided should give newbies some help with their gameplay, but it can also spoil everything so. ![]() Last seen: 15 years, 5 months and 27 days ago. I had to use many save states for nothing just because I went wrong way sometimes and realized it too late. All the hacks i have tried to download here wont work on snes9x. I tried to remember all the places I have to go so I dont wander around too much. I broke my earlier record time of 2:27 with this new one, though this one is only 2:21 but it is still better than the last one. ![]() I played a little while and all the sudden I had finished Impossible again =) I had some time so I decided to get back to playing.
